DC Front Runners Washington, DC's LGBTQ+ Running & Walking Club

Activities

Post Run & Walk

The focus of our club’s social life is after our runs and walks, which always ends with an informal gathering at a local restaurant (when its cold) or socializing on the steps of our “home base” at 23rd and P Streets, around the Dupont Circle fountain, or in Union Station’s food court. It’s a great way to meet new people and catch up with old friends!

Social Events

We sponsor a number of member events, including monthly happy hours, club parties, and special events.

We’re proud to be a part of our local LGBTQ and running communities. We’ve developed an impressive tradition of community service. The club sponsors an annual Pride Run 5K and other charitable events to raise money for local LGBTQ organizations. Our award-winning marching contingent have become popular attractions in the Capital Pride Parade.

DCFR teams travel to out-of-town races, such as the Gay Games, Rock and Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon, and various Ragnar Relays. We support our local running community by staffing water stops at local races.

Happy Hours

Join your fellow DC Front Runners for an evening of camraderie at a local bar or venue every First Friday of the month. Check your weekly eNews, our Facebook page or the “What’s New” section of this website’s homepage for location and other details!
