Updated Effective February 21, 2021

The DCFR’s number one priority is maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of its members and guests.

The DCFR Board will continue to monitor the situation and notify the community through the DCFR website, social media platforms, and email of any changes to the policy.

In our last policy update, we lifted the capacity restrictions and welcomed non-Members to events.

Attending DCFR Runs and Events

By attending, you will assume risks and waive, release, and hold harmless the DCFR from all claims relating to COVID-19 arising out of attending runs, walks, and other club activities. Attendees who are in a risk category or have underlying health issues should carefully consider their decision to attend runs, walks, and other events.

Bag Check

DCFR will have bag check for our weekly runs. We ask that individuals check their bags no later than 5 minutes before the scheduled start time (i.e.: for 7:00 pm runs, please be ready by 6:55 pm; for 10:00 am runs, please be ready by 9:55am; for 9:00am runs, please be ready by 8:55am).

In the event of inclement weather, attendees are encouraged to monitor DCFR’s social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) if bag check will not be possible. We apologize in advance if we are unable to provide bag check in inclement weather.

Wearing of Masks for Vaccinated Individuals

To align with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and DC Government’s modified guidance for use of face masks, individuals who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to wear face masks during official DCFR events.

As provided in DC Government’s guidelines, an individual is considered “fully vaccinated” 14 days after getting the last dose of a COVID-19 vaccine series (after the second dose of a two-dose series, or after one dose of a single-dose vaccine). Attendees who are not fully vaccinated should continue to observe DC Government’s face mask guidelines. We will not require proof of vaccination but we ask for attendees’ responsible and respectful cooperation with this policy.
